Keeping Current

Here are a few online tools some of us use to keep current with copyright news. The Mailing Lists and Weblogs page also lists several sites and lists that are useful for finding current copyright-related news.
- ALA’s Copyright Issues (http://www.ala.org/ala/washoff/WOissues/copyrightb/copyright.htm). From the American Library Association, offers copyright news and the ALA’s agenda as it relates to copyright.
- Current Copyright Literature (http://web.austin.utexas.edu/law_library/copyright/). From the Tarlton Law Library at the University of Texas at Austin. This site is udpated about three time a week and lists current journal articles about copyright. Edited by Tobe Liebert, the Assistant Director for Collection Development & Special Projects.
- de.icio.us copyright tag (http://del.icio.us/tag/copyright). de.icio.us is a social bookmark manager. This page shows what pages people have tagged with the word “copyright.”
- digg copyright search (http://www.digg.com/search?search=copyright&submit=Submit). Digg is a social bookmarking/news site.
- Google News copyright search (http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=copyright&btnG=Search+News). Google News search for copyright. Google Alerts is also useful for mailing stories that involve copyright.
- LISnews Intellectual Property (http://lisnews.org/search.pl?tid=55). News site created with Slash code, intellectual property topic.
- US Copyright Office Newsnet (http://www.copyright.gov/newsnet/).
