Can we legally stream a film from Amazon for a program if the Director gives us permission?

  We want to show a documentary about an eclipse for the upcoming eclipse in August.  We contacted the Director who said that we could download it and show it.  The only way we are seeing that we can download it would be via Amazon.com.  I think showing a downloaded film from Amazon would violate the EULA.  Does the Director's permission to show the movie trump Amazon's EULA?
