Book slides for story time for entire elementary school

  During our school's morning meeting, the principal would like to read a handful of our library books to the entire school of elementary students. The principal wants the librarian to scan the book pages to make book slides to project during the school-wide storytime. These slides would likely be shared with the principal via Google Slides.

  Will this be within fair use, or will copyright laws be violated? Are there certain elements that could be changed to keep the school-wide storytime within fair use?

  Hello. For an in-house presentation, I think your use of the slides would be lawful. I would not place the slides permanently on an online accessible web site.
