  I have a question regarding copyright technology. The question specifically if companies are able to embed codes or names for them and others to identify who the video clip belongs to?

   

  For example, let's say I have a clip that contains an edit from several sources such as Reuters, Ap etc, is there a software that can indicate who owns the clip? is there such a thing to identify the source of the clip.

  I believe that there is technology that identifies clips and that technology includes metedata that includes ownership - or at least where the clip came from, who originated it. I also believe that this technology is used to identify unauthorized copying or distribution of the clip but not necessarily who made the copy or distribution.
