adding medical drawings to student lab manual

Good morning,
I have a faculty who is creating a lab manual for her students, and would like to incorporate medical drawings she if finding online.
We've had a brief conversation about fair use and how using images from various artists would help her claim of fair use. I'll follow up with a fair use checklist for her to review.
My question is about the longevity of use. Often I consider spontenaity (limited use) when considering fair use. The intent here, I believe, if for longer term use - wanting to use the images within the lab manuals for some time.
I'd love some thoughts and feedback from this group.
