Can I use emails without infringing copyright?

  • I am a copywriter and am planning a course on how to write good emails.

It was my intention to use examples of other people's emails to illustrate certain points - ie things you should and shouldn't do in your emails. I would credit all sources.

But does this infringe any copyright laws if I don't have permission?

  • Because copyright law does not require a work - such as an email message - to include a copyright notice for it to be protected, forwarding an email to others and posting it publicly can be a violation of copyright law. Common sense and respect for privacy are needed in such cases.  Conversion Rate Optimization
