Citing Slogans...

  • Hi,

I would like to know how to correctly cite a slogan in a PowerPoint presentation. We would like to mention Walmart's new slogan, "Save Money. Live Better." and Target's "Expect More. Pay Less." for a class at our university. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you for your help!
  • I would cite it like a TV program, like this for APA style:
    Television Broadcast

Anderson, R. & Morgan, C. (Producers). (2008, June 20). 60 Minutes [Television broadcast]. Washington, DC: CBS News.

    Or MLA:
    Television Broadcast

"The Blessing Way." The X-Files. Fox. WXIA, Atlanta. 19 Jul. 1998.
  • Alternatively, I'm sure the slogan is prominently displayed on their respective websites, and whatever citation style manual you use should have guidelines for citing web pages.
