Including company/organization logo on "Today Is..." sign

  The public library where I work displays a small sign that changes daily; at the top of the page are the words "Today is..." and the date, then a few words describing an event of interest that occurred on the date, plus an appropriate picture. Can we include copyrighted company or organization logos on this sign? e.g. John Deere's birthday; Boy Scouts of America founding; etc. Seems to me this falls under both "teaching" and "news reporting" and therefore its purpose favors fair use? It also doesn't cause harm to the product or detract from its "sales." What say?
