copyright and prison users
- July 9, 2009 @ 8:31amLiz Barksdale says:Hi, this is a somewhat general question. My college works with several different prison units and the school district for students who are inmates within the prison system. Our instructors teach classes there and take in materials. I am looking for any special copyright considerations when working with correctional facilities. I think mainly it's the same things to consider with other students, but if anyone knows resources for this, I'd really like to know about them to help make sure we're covered in this area.
Thanks. - July 9, 2009 @ 1:04pmJanetCroft says:I don't know of anything specific to prison libraries as far as copyright goes; they only thing I'd wonder about is if this is a government agency prison or a private for-profit prison -- and even in the latter case, I don't know if the library would really far under for-profit educational institution rules, but you might want to be aware of the differences if this is the case.
