  Does it violate copyright to videotape reading a picture book and then posting the video online? It seems a clear violation to me but I keep hearing about librarians posting their storytimes online. I have had multiple inquiries from our library staff about posting storytimes online as an added service to our library customers. They want to augment our in person programming and cater to ill children (flu season) as well as fill a gap left behind by budget cuts. I would love to be able to clearly answer their inquiries and provide the copyright documentation to support the decision either way.
