  Over the years I have built a video library in vhs format. I also have DVD's in my library.
  I have some older movies on vhs that are no longer in production. the vhs tapes are starting to go bad. is it legal for me to transfer them to dvd for my personal use and not to be loaned or sold. I just don't want to lose movies that I enjoy so much.
  Does anyone have any info on this? I am retired now and I enjoy my movies. To heck with cable.
