Not sure if this constitutes breaking copyrights

I made an iPhone application for a certain tool program that is only currently worked out on paper, let's just call it "Real Estate Calculator" and the company that originally started that theoretical calculations has a copyrights to it. My question becomes, Can I name my iPhone application something different - maybe "Housing calculator" but the calculations are the same as this company's and in my Description of my app, I refer the theory of this calculations to this company. Would that still constitute breaking the copyrights law?
