Can we make and distribute a copy of the performance to only the participant's? I know we cannot make and distribute copies to the public for free or profit but do performers receive privileges to archive their stage work as a record of their abilities? Right of Record?

  When your club licensed the rights to perform the play, did you include these other uses in your negotiations? On its own, videotaping the performance without permission of the play's copyright holder could be a violation of his/her rights as well as a breach of the contract you signed with the rights holder.
  
  It is best to include all possible uses in your request for permission to perform the play.
